Firstly, in my years training I’ve found a lot of books and video-courses about this topic, and I have to say, they work, ones more than others, but the thing is, that despite a couldn’t complain for my body, ALWAYS something was missing.
In all that time, I’ve spent like 500 USD (and much more than that when I had a personal trainer) by buying these stuffs, which authors always said that with those methods I would be able to increase my muscles and my strength levels amazingly. The true is that I got results JUST in my appearance; my functional strength improvement was TOO slow.
The thing is, that I didn’t want to be an “appearance model”, I mean, those people which have nice bodies but are not even nearly strong as they look; and I wanted TO BE strong too, not just look like I am.
Now, don’t misunderstand me, of course my strength were increasing while the time passed, but was only when lifting bars, I mean, it was NOT functional strength, if I lifted a rock, sandbag or any “primitive thing”, my strength levels decreased by less than half; and it was disgusting, also because I wanted my training sessions to help me improve my performance at my Kenpo classes.
Then, I saw in Travis Stoetzel a good man which wanted to help other man to achieve their goals of being stronger, having read his story I found how enthusiastic was him about this goal and how good were his intentions.
But I know also that good intentions are not enough.
Knowing all this, I started studying the bags, bells and bodyweight training system.
So, what did I found there? Is this really the formula I need, in order to be twice stronger or more? Does this really worth?

When I finished watching the videos, I have to admit that the idea of leaving the traditional gym training based just on bars and dumbbells looked weird to me, mostly because it’s not the way I used to train; also I hadn’t partners to talk about these ideas and share a little bit about it.
That was positive, because I finally learned that when we’re training really hard, we simply have no time to do any other thing on that moment, and we need to stay focused on what we’re doing, on present time.
The best thing, as has being said before, is that it’s mostly focused on functional strength, also focused on athleticism levels and our muscles, but the main aim is our power.
I have to admit something, I was really anxious of starting once and for all with the sandbag workouts. However, we need to remember that is necessary to build strong bases before turning our bodies in symbols of maleness
So I started with the bodyweight training (despite I have already experience with training, to avoid or reduce at minimum possible, Travis Stoetzel recommends to start this way in order to build our bases rightly) and now I’ve started with the kettlebells stage.
Well, my performance level has improved and I can realize that, after all, the bodyweight part not easy at all, just at the beginning to condition the body of any newbie who tries this and prepare it for what’s next, but, I see that Travis Stoetzel’s creed is that we have to train like true men, to train hard.
By using the kettlebells combined with the bodyweight circuits my stabilizer muscles has become more functional and my conditioning levels has increased; despite I haven’t joined to the sangbag workouts stage, I’ve experienced that what the courses describes, it’s been true until now.
So, my conclusion is, experiencing my current level of performance, is that The Bags, Bells and Bodyweight Training System DOES WORK.
However, keeping myself searching for new information, I found that something’s missing with this course.
I mean, the Travis Stoetzel’s creation is a great “school” to teach us how to have a strong and good-looking body but, applying an additional tactic, it may become even more effective to improve the conditioning and to have a lean body even faster.
I’ve also doing it combined with the course as it’s taught since the second third week from the beginning, and making a comparison between both periods of time, the progress was even faster; but also more demanding.
And I have to advice this: If you’re not ready to resist hardcore training, if you don’t feel prepared enough, man enough, please just don’t get the course, is it effective? Of course it is, but we need to train hard, how Travis says: to Train Aggressive.
Definitely, you can have results with The bags, bells and bodyweight training system; however, with this “additional ingredient (buscar si se dice asi)” the results will come faster.
Then, you can choose, do you want a lot, or do you want everything?
